Galvin St in south Launceston is a charming English style cottage built in the early 1900s. a small 4 room space of 77m2 that was designed with a modern extension to join the back of the building. The original surf mist paint with white highlights to be joined by a monument steel and compressed sheet addition, doubling the house footprint.

154m2 of living, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 

lounge, dining area and European laundry.

Project details:

  • Extension consisted of new master bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite, new laundry, lounge and dining area.

  • Exisitng building had floors relevelled with new carpets and paint to tie into new addition; 

  • Hybrid floating floors in a oak design, vibrant white finishes with neutral tones throughout;

  • Metroll interlocking panel in colourbond monument;

  • James Hardie Axon 400 cladding painted with Haymes monument.

  • Merbau deck and screening to add to the living spaces;

  • Steel constructed carport attched to the exisitng building with a sectional roller door mnaking the facade very private.
